A new blend calculator has been added to our tools section. This calculator can predict the blend viscosity of Alberta bitumen and diluent using a model developed under a CCQTA project. For more details on this project and to view the final report, visit the members section of the CCQTA Website.

Cylinder samples of Midale and Mixed Sweet Blend at Edmonton are now being collected for detailed and accurate measurement on light ends. Glycol displacement cylinders are being collected, alongside our regular samples, and tested using the GPA 2177 method.

Research, a method comparison study, and an interlaboratory study were completed under a CCQTA Project. For the purposes of CrudeMonitor, it was determined that this is the best method to measure C4 minus contents.

To view this data, click the 'C4-' button in the light ends table when viewing the data pages for Midale or Mixed Sweet at Edmonton. These data can also be viewed using the .csv or .pdf export features, or through the latest version of the CrudeMonitor API.

A new and improved API v1.1 has been released. Check out the release notes for each version with helpful notes on upgrading. Existing users will continue to have access to the old v1.0 to maintain compatibility with developed systems.
