PetroChina Blend

Stream Description

PetroChina Blend is a heavy sour synbit composed of SAGD production and domestic synthetic crude. As such, PXB has a high TAN and low MCRT for a 20 API gravity Canadian heavy crude. PXB is produced only at the MacKay River Central Plant, wholly owned and operated by PetroChina Canada Ltd. and is transported to Edmonton via the Grand Rapids Pipeline for sales and distribution on connected mainline pipelines.

Typical bulk properties were recorded for the February sample of PetroChina Blend. New light ends testing showed reduced BTEX and C7 x C9 contents. Typical simulated distillation results are included.
