Premium Albian Synthetic

Stream Description

Premium Albian Synthetic (PAS) is a light sweet synthetic crude produced from the Scotford Upgrader. The Scotford Upgrader is part of the Athabasca Oil Sands Project (AOSP), a joint venture between Shell Canada Energy (operator and 10% owner), Chevron Canada Limited (20%) and Canadian Natural Resources Limited (70%). PAS is a bottomless blend of hydrotreated straight run streams (naphtha, distillate and gasoil), and fully hydrotreated streams produced from a residue hydroconversion process (LC-Fining).

Typical bulk properties were observed for the March sample of Premium Albian Synthetic. The new light ends testing method showed reduced BTEX and C7 x C9 contents.
