CNS is a light sweet synthetic crude produced from the Canadian Natural Resources Ltd Horizon Project located north of Fort McMurray, Alberta. The Horizon Project includes a mine and upgrader operations. It is a classic bottomless blend of hydrotreated naphtha, distillate, and gasoil fractions produced from a coker based upgrader facility.

CNRL Light Sweet Synthetic saw slightly reduced octanes and nonanes for the April sample. Simulated distillation results showed a shift from the distillate cut to the gas oil.
